In most organizations, Procurement and Finance objectives frequently overlap. After all, they're both responsible for parts of the procure-to-pay (P2P) process with a particular emphasis on savings control and visibility. So why is it they so often operate in business silos and rarely cooperate as true teammates?
In a Basware survey of Finance and Procurement professionals, we sought to understand how alignment between the two functions is changing. We found that, promisingly, organizations are taking proactive steps to drive this sort of positive change because there are a number of factors that are driving this need for increased collaboration.
